With an updated design, which includes a lighter magnesium housing and updated rubber armouring, the ZEISS Conquest HDX 10x56 Binoculars are premium all-rounders for bird and wildlife observation. These newly developed ZEISS binoculars allow you to identify and observe animals even when they cannot be detected with the naked eye, while ensuring they are comfortable and intuitive to use for experienced nature enthusiasts.
The Conquest HDX is a premium range of all-rounder binoculars, which has been updated to combine outstanding optical performance, rugged durability, intuitive ergonomics, and comfortable viewing. The new design features an upgraded rubber housing with full rubber armouring and nitrogen filling. This ensures exceptional performance with enhanced grip, making them an excellent choice for the great outdoors, regardless of poor weather.
Proprietary ZEISS LotuTec lens coating and nitrogen filling provide durable performance throughout the toughest of conditions, while also making cleaning and maintenance easier. Lens coatings enhance the waterproof, fog-proof, shake-proof, and temperature-resistant design, which weighs a respectable 1250g, allowing for handholding or convenient tripod mounting.
The renowned HD optical design provides the same effective optics as the previous model, with excellent image quality, edge-to-edge sharpness and detail, plus true-to-life colour reproduction for precise identification of birds and wildlife.
Intuitive ergonomics add to overall ease of use, with fast and precise focusing, even while wearing gloves, and there’s an intuitive locking diopter and smooth, durable, and replaceable eyecups. This includes up to 10 lenses, which are matched to provide exceptional optical quality, with highly precise manufacturing of the optical system. FieldFlattener technology ensures high resolution across the entire field of view, while aspherical and low dispersion (ED) glass reduces chromatic aberration.
Robust New Housing and Rugged Design
A new housing made from lightweight and stable magnesium is lighter than its predecessor and features latex-free rubber armouring for high protection. The wall thickness of the lens frames has been strengthened, removing any potential weak points, and combining a robust mechanical design with the optics.

With ZEISS LotuTec lens coating and Nitrogen filling, the Conquest HDX binoculars are built for the toughest conditions. The LotuTec coating is water and grease-repellent, making images clear and cleaning easy. The coating repels particles, water drops, moisture, and fingerprints, allowing for stress-free cleaning of your optics. Additionally, the Nitrogen-filled waterproof design means you can rinse the binoculars under running water without needing a microfibre cloth, reducing the risk of accidental damage.

Extensive Testing
In order to deliver consistently reliable binoculars, ZEISS subjects the Conquest HDX to extensive optical, endurance, and environmental tests. These include testing the replaceable eyecups, hinges, and optics to ensure longevity and high performance.
They are also submerged to 4m, tested in heat and frost, and subjected to vibration and UV-light tests. Dermatological tests also ensure that these binoculars will not cause adverse reactions when held close to the skin for extended periods.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
