With an extensive 8x zoom range and signature portable design, the Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens for Nikon Z is Tamron’s fifth zoom lens for Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. What sets this full-frame mirrorless Z lens apart is the standard 50mm focal width at the wide end, which provides the versatility to capture anything from portraits and group shots, to distant wildlife and sports.
The lens also offers one-half life-size (1:2) magnification during close focus, opening up macro photography along with all of the other genres, which this single all-in-one lens can be used for. Image quality is high at all focal lengths thanks to an effective arrangement of special lens element and Tamron includes their VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism that offers fast and responsive focus.
Thoughtful additions to help Nikon creators streamline their workflow include a Focus Limiter, Focus Set Button and Zoom Lock switch, which contribute to the ergonomics and easy usability, which the lens offers.

Excellent image quality throughout the range
Enjoy outstanding image quality throughout the entire zoom range with an optical design that includes 24 elements in 18 groups. These feature a mixture of special lens elements like two XLD, three LD, one GM, and one Hybrid Aspherical element to effectively control aberrations, including axial chromatic aberrations.
Tamron's latest BBAR-G2 Coating further enhances image clarity by reducing ghosting and flare, even in backlit conditions, ensuring that no matter the situation, this lens consistently delivers sharp, crisp results.
A circular 9-bladed aperture diaphragm allows for rounded bokeh to be created, with an opening which stays rounded for two stops above the maximum aperture. This allows you to capture stunning shots with excellent subject separation and characterful bokeh in a variety of situations.

VC Image Stabilisation

This powerful system reduces image blur caused by camera shake, and with the help of AI algorithms, it selects the best compensation characteristics for videography at focal lengths of 100mm or less.
Half Life-size Macro Photography with 1:2 Magnification Ratio
This lens boasts 1:2 magnification, plus a minimum object distance (MOD) of 0.25m at 50mm, allowing for half-macro photography with a 1:2 magnification ratio from 50mm to 70mm. At the 400mm telephoto end, the MOD is just 1.5m with a 1:4 magnification ratio for near tele-macro style dynamic shots.

Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.
