Rycote Modular Windshield WS 8 Kit

The Modular Suspension is a versatile four point elastic suspension system that provides complete support for microphones in a cradle arrangement. It can be used as is, with a foam gag, or combined with a Windshield & Windjammer for added protection.
The Modular Windshield, launched in 2004, is a zeppelin-shaped cover that slides onto the Modular Suspension and completely encloses the microphone and its connector. It effectively shields the microphone from wind noise while minimizing any impact on sound quality. The Windjammer, also launched with the Modular Windshield, is designed to fit over the Windshield for maximum wind protection. The Modular Windshield system is available in various sizes as a complete kit, including the Modular Suspension, Modular Windshield, and Windjammer.
Modular Suspension
Equipped with both a boom adaptor and a pistol grip handle and a range of clips and O-rings to provide a custom fit. The microphone clips supplied allow you to hold microphones with 19/20mm, 21/22mm, 24/25mm diameters and Sennheiser MKH mics too.
Easy to customise the mount to accommodate different styles of use, including the use of foam gags, without obstruction.
Three standard mono versions, each with a different length bar (1 module, 2 module and 3 module) but with all other components shared.
Stereo suspensions available to fit a wide variety of stereo pairs, single shank stereo microphones, and stereo capsule microphones.
Improved components make handling and usage easier in difficult conditions.
Range of accessories available including the Connbox and the MS/XY Cage.
Modular Windshield
Designed to provide significant improvement in exterior wind attenuation (up to 25dB).
Manufactured from flexible grey plastic netting tube with a screening material attached by special process, providing lightweight strength and durability.
Twist and turn locking end caps provide easy, rattle free and secure fastening.
Unique slide-on/slide-off system allows easy removal of the microphone and suspension.
Mono Windshields have an outside diameter of 100mm (4”), and stereo windshields are 145mm (5-3/4”). The microphone used determines the length of the Windshield.
Windjammer
The most effective cover, providing 10 –12db extra protection over a standard Windshield.
Made from specially designed and manufactured screening materials with virtually no adverse effect on sound level or quality.
Fitted with a drawstring & toggle to allow snug and easy fitting.
Available in sizes to fit all Mono & Stereo windshields, Softies & Baby Ballgags.

Check your eligibility
To be considered for finance, you will need to meet all of the following criteria:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Are in regular full or part-time employment (minimum 1 hour per week or £10,000 income per annum), unless you are retired and receiving a private or company pension, or you are in receipt of disability living allowance
- Are a permanent UK resident and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
- Have a UK bank account capable of accepting Direct Debits
- Have a good credit history with no late payments, Debt Relief Orders, County Court Judgments or bankruptcies.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.
*All of our used items are listed with the accessories that are included. If they are not listed, then they will not be supplied at the point of purchase.

This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
