8K Video Recording from Two 1/1.28” Sensors
The Insta360 X5 captures ultra-high detail 8K 360° video, thanks to two specially developed 1/1.28” image sensors. These are far larger than those used in the previous X4 camera, providing superior performance in both good light and low light.
With dynamic range of 13.5 stops and massive 2.4μm equivalent pixel size, the X5 records bright, crisp, and realistic footage even when substantially cropped or reframed in post. The colours stay rich, with fine detail kept intact in every frame, making this camera perfect for professional applications in nearly all environments.
Triple AI Processor Chip Design and PureVideo Mode
For the first time in a 360-degree camera, there is a triple-chip design in the X5 with two Pro Imaging Chips and one latest-gen. 5nm AI chip. Overall processing performance is increased by 140% over earlier designs. The system is optimised for lower-light performance, with enhanced noise reduction and greater control over shadows and highlights in PureVideo shot mode. If you’re riding along at sunset or capturing night-time urban landscapes, you can have much clearer, richer shots with even contrasted lighting.
Shooting First, Framing Afterwards
360° recording completely revolutionises how you record content. Press record once and frame later with AI features in the Insta360 app. Unlike traditional cameras, which need separate takes or shots to capture a full narrative, the X5 allows you to record once then frame infinite perspectives. Invisible Selfie Stick Effect
The Invisible Selfie Stick effect is a hit with creators and that’s why as it vanishes in 360° footage, providing drone-like shots and thrilling third-person action shots with no additional equipment. If you walk, cycle, or are filming alone, it brings a whole new element to videos, and is completely compatible with Insta360 accessories.
Replaceable Lenses with Toughened Coating

Enhanced Battery Life and Quick Charging
There is now a new 2400mAh battery giving you recording times of up to 185 minutes at 5.7K/24fps using Endurance Mode, a 37% increase over the original X4’s run-time. Charging performance has also improved, with fast charge taking the battery from 0 to 80% in only 20 minutes, keeping you in action for more.
FlowState Stabilisation and 360° Horizon Lock
Leading stabilisation technology from Insta360 is again available in the form of FlowState, which eradicates shakes and jitters for silky smooth results. Paired with full 360° Horizon Lock, your shots are always level even in fast motion, providing you with optimal framing and orientation without the need for a gimbal.
5.7K Resolution with 60fps Active HDR
Improved to handle 60fps, Active HDR brings higher dynamic range to fast action shots. The colours are presented in their natural state, with smooth transitions from highlight to shadow. Improved Audio with Wind Guard

Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
