Hawke Endurance Laser Rangefinder 1000 Summary
The Hawke Endurance Laser Rangefinder 1000 delivers distance measurements within ±1m accuracy from a range of 5–1000m, and sits in the middle of the Endurance range for professional users. This rangefinder is designed for applications including wildlife observation, conservation, and land management, where it provides quick and reliable readings with 6x magnification, an adjustable dioptre, and a fully multi-coated BK-7 prism optical system for bright, true-colour visuals.
With multiple rangefinding modes, the Endurance 1000 is an adaptable solution for field work adapting to a variety of conditions and terrain. Standard mode provides straight-line distance measurements, with Active Scan offering continuous updates while moving. Rain mode filters out interference from raindrops, while Horizontal Distance (HD) mode provides a true horizontal measurement, useful for terrain assessment and environmental studies. Angle mode displays the angle of projection, offering greater accuracy in uneven landscapes.
Hawke includes an OLED display with red illuminated icons, which ensures clear readings under different lighting conditions, with six adjustable brightness levels. The compact, ergonomic design fits comfortably in hand, while being easy to operate with quick access to control buttons. The Endurance 1000 is ruggedly built, waterproof, fog-proof, and nitrogen-purged, with an auto shut-off feature to conserve battery life and is backed by Hawke’s two-year warranty.

Hawke Endurance Laser Rangefinder 1000 in More Detail
Standard mode
This mode measures the straight line distance to the subject you are aiming at. It is measured to the nearest tenth of a yard/metre.
When there is nothing displayed in the targeting modes area of the display (to the right or underneath the distance), you are in Standard mode.
Active Scan: If you hold the POWER button while in Standard mode the range finder will continuously scan so you can move around and get constant updates of the distance.
Rain mode
Rain mode measures the straight line distance to the subject, but ignores any interference from falling raindrops. When range finding in Rain mode, the Horizontal Distance will also be shown on the lower distance readout line.
Horizontal Distance 'HD' Mode
HD mode measures the horizontal distance to the subject. The straight line distance is shown on the upper distance readout and the HD component is shown on the lower distance readout.
If shooting at high angles in the mountains, firing airguns that have loopy trajectories, or shooting bows from a tree stand, HD mode gives a more realistic distance for use when calculating holdover aim points.
Angle mode
Angle mode measures the angle of projection. It is measured to the nearest tenth of a degree. The straight line distance is shown on the upper distance readout and the angle measurement is shown on the lower distance readout. When aiming downhill a minus symbol will appear to the left of the angle display.
