The next-gen. gimbal combo from DJI arrives in the form of the DJI RS 4 Combo Gimbal Stabiliser. This compact and lightweight camera stabiliser is designed for commonplace mirrorless camera and lens combinations, with a working payload of up to 3kg.

Upgrades for this gen. include significantly improved native vertical shooting, enhanced shooting and battery efficiency, improved 4th generation stabilisation, and an upgraded accessory ecosystem, designed to elevate your storytelling experience.

The combo adds a series of useful accessories designed to aid movie focusing, such as the Focus Pro Motor, Focus Pro Motor Rod Mount Kit and Focus Gear strip. You also get a Briefcase Handle and convenient carrying case to transport the gimbal and Combo accessories.

The RS 4 comes with other upgrades, including a Teflon™ coating across all three axes, automated axis locks, auto-lock screen and a newly designed horizontal plate. These enhancement facilitate easier shooting, greater efficiency and smoother results.

Balance space has also been increased, enabling the seamless addition of an ND filter or other desirable filmmaking accessories.

Improved 2nd-Gen Native Vertical Shooting

The DJI RS 4 features a newly designed horizontal plate, enabling faster and easier native vertical shooting. Without the need for additional accessories, you can simply release the horizontal plate and secure it into the vertical position for an easy switch to vertical shooting, [2] paving the way for much more efficient vertical video creation.

Improved 2nd-Gen Automated Axis Locks

Automated axis locks allow the RS 4 gimbal stabiliser to swiftly begin working or enter sleep mode, which significantly enhances shooting, transition, and storage efficiency. Additionally, the axis locks have smaller gaps when locked, further reducing gimbal shake.

Smoother balancing and a Teflon™ Coating

• All three axes feature a Teflon™ coating, resulting in reduced friction and smoother balancing.
• The fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis can move the camera forward or backward, achieving precise, millimetre-level balancing, when switching cameras or lenses.
• An added adjustable placement guide on the upper quick-release plate, ensures secure camera mounting.

Automatic Screen Lock

‌The RS 4’s OLED touchscreen incorporates a new auto-lock feature. Once locked, the screen will display the current gimbal and joystick modes at a low brightness, which not only prevents accidental touches, but also helps conserve battery power.

The lightweight design boasts a 3kg payload capacity, enabling it to carry mainstream mirrorless camera and popular mirrorless lens combinations.

Compared with the previous generation, the DJI RS 4's tilt axis has also been extended by 8.5mm, offering expanded balancing space. This allows you to mount a mirrorless camera and lens combination, along with accessories like ND filters, broadening the scope for creative potential.

4th-Gen RS Stabilisation Algorithm

DJI has comprehensively optimised the 4th-generation RS stabilisation algorithm for different scenarios. Bluetooth Wireless Control

With Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology, DJI RS 4 can remotely control camera shutter and lens zoom.
