Hasselblad L2D-20c Camera
Iconic Swedish camera brand Hasselblad has customised their L2D-20c aerial camera for the DJI Mavic 3 to include a professional quality 4/3 CMOS sensor in a sleek and compact form. Rigorous Hasselblad standards are applied to both the hardware performance and software algorithms, bringing image quality to a whole new level.
Key camera features
- 20 megapixel photos
- 12.8 Stops of Dynamic Range
- f/2.8-f/11 Adjustable Aperture
- 24mm Equivalent Focal Length
- Vision Detection Auto Focus (VDAF)
4/3 CMOS Sensor
A larger imaging sensor not only gives you higher resolution and a wider dynamic range using the Mavic 3 but also suppresses noise in low-light environments more effectively.
12.8 Stops of Dynamic Range
The larger four thirds sensor brings 12.8-stops of dynamic range to capture more details in highlights and shadows taking aerial imagery to a higher professional level.
Adjustable Aperture
The f/2.8-f/11 adjustable aperture meets the needs of aerial photographers to cater for various lighting situations and offer the ability to change depth of field.
Wide 84° field of view
The 24mm equivalent autofocus lens has a wide 84° FOV to capture more details with sharp clarity, yet weighs just 12.5 grams.
Vision Detection Auto Focus (VDAF)
The Hasselblad L2D-20c camera on Mavic 3 features VDAF technology, which works with multiple vision sensors to utilise distance data and optimise focusing speed.
Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution
Mavic 3 features Hasselblad’s Natural Colour Solution (HNCS), which is the result of decades of photographic experience. This ensures vivid, accurate and natural colours that look spectacular even without presets or editing in post, so you photos and movies look spectacular straight out of camera, without the need for post processing.
Relying on complex post-processing has never been part of Hasselblad’s philosophy, they rather start from the pixel level of the sensor using the Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) to ensure natural and highly accurate colours are captured wherever you’re shooting.
Pixel-Level Calibration
Every pixel on the sensor is calibrated with the HNCS embedded, ensuring Mavic 3 captures colour with the same iconic quality as other Hasselblad cameras do.
Accurate colours
RGB colour data obtained by the sensor is converted through Hasselblad's unique image processing algorithm and colour processing mode, delivering the best possible natural colours in any scene while shooting.
Professional Video
DJI’s Mavic 3 uses professional imaging performance to record aerial videos at high resolutions and frame rates. The camera also captures up to one billion colours thanks to a 10-bit D-Log colour profile, with natural colour gradations and advanced flexibility in post-production.
Key video specs
- 5.1K Video
- DCI 4K/120fps
- Apple ProRes 422 HQ
- 10-bit D-Log colour Profile
Tele Camera with unique Explore Mode
A unique tele camera makes Explore mode the perfect way to scout and plan shots, ideal when scenes or subjects are far away to zoom in and save time. You can even use Explore mode to record subjects from a distance without disturbing the scene using the 28x Hybrid Zoom at 162mm, f/4.4. The drone will automatically switch to the Tele camera when the camera zoom exceeds 7x.
Flight Safety
Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing
Mavic 3 let you spend more of your time focused on getting the perfect shot thanks to a number of advanced safety features. Multiple wide-angle vision sensors work seamlessly with a high-performance vision computing engine to sense obstacles in all directions precisely and plan safe flight routes to avoid them.
Advanced RTH
Finish any flight on a high note with Advanced RTH which allows Mavic 3 to automatically determine the optimal route back to its home point and complete a safe return flight on its own. Whether activated by the user or triggered by signal loss Mavic 3 can easily return to the home point.
APAS 5.0
When flying Mavic 3 continually senses objects in all directions and bypasses them smoothly and quickly, making flights more fun with recordings that are no longer impeded by obstacles along the way. This allows you to enjoy your flight without concern of collision even when flying in complicated environments, capturing smooth footage even when encountering obstacles.
Upgraded Performance
- 46 Minutes Extended Flight Time
- 12km Video Transmission Range using the DJI RC Pro or DJI RC-N1 Remote Controller
- 1080p/60fps FHD High-Frame-Rate Live Feed autoswitching
- Precision Positioning Highly Accurate Positioning Technology
Extended Flight Time
During a single flight you can now execute every step from route planning to composition and even record a hyperlapse video. Mavic 3’s wind resistance is also 50% stronger than its predecessor, by using a more efficient propulsion system with a high-capacity battery to extend the flight time to an incredible 46 minutes.
Fly Further, See More
With a 12km transmission range you can fly further and also transmit signals with higher stability and less video lag, offering you greater peace of mind during flight.
FHD High-Frame-Rate Transmission with Smooth Live Feed
Mavic 3 is the first DJI drone that can transmit a 1080p/60fps live feed, making it more responsive to your controls. This means the camera view is displayed at a resolution close to what the camera actually records.
