Before we delve deeper into each model it’s worth noting that all three of these lenses offer combined camera body and lens image stabilisation, when used with a compatible Canon mirrorless camera. Models include full-frame EOS R3, R5, R6 mark I and R6 Mark II cameras, and the crop sensor EOS R7.
Canon introduced combined IS in the early stages of EOS R development, and it stands as one of the industry's best applications, delivering substantial benefits to photographers who shoot handheld. The system offers exceptional compensation, reaching an impressive shake reduction of up to 8-stops, dependent on the lens mounted.
Dual IS as it is also known ensures exceptional stability, especially in challenging lighting conditions. It effectively counters the effects of camera shake and vibrations, providing a significant gain in sharpness and clarity at slower shutter speeds. This is particularly advantageous when shooting at longer focal lengths, or in low light environments, where even minor movements can lead to blurry images.
Image stabilisation plays a crucial role in video recording, particularly in situations where the camera is handheld, and the creator is walking and recording without the aid of a gimbal stabiliser.

The launch of the RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM is set to gain the attention of sports, wildlife, and action photographers, as it offers the longest zoom reach in the world, within a lightweight and portable design. Key features include:
For photographers who specialise in capturing distant subjects and shoot handheld at super telephoto ranges, there is no other option on the market that provides this unique combination of capabilities.
Notably you can increase the zoom range for incredible reach, with 280-1120mm or 400-1600mm with the 1.4x and 2.0x extenders. This enhances the lens’ versatility, allowing you to capture subjects at even greater distances, although it does come with a reduction in f-stop.
Subjects which fall within this lens’ capabilities include:

Canon’s RF-S 10-18mm ultra wide angle lens fills a gap in the line-up for a crop format zoom lens, which covers an ultra wide range, equivalent to 16-29mm in full-frame format. It is designed for crop sensor bodies, such as the EOS R50, the EOS R7 and R10.
Key features include:
Canon has devised a new optical design for this lens, which delivers great image quality, while maintaining a low weight. Aside from being extremely compact and portable, the RF-S 10-18mm lens offers some distinct advantages, which include fast and close focusing, while achieving a high level of magnification. This enables you to easily fill the frame when needed, especially in situations where you extend the camera while engaging with your audience during vlogging for example.

Canon is breaking new ground with the launch of the RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z, which ushers in an entirely new range of hybrid video and stills lenses. This and future models combine the advantages of professional photography lenses, with the capabilities found in cinema optics, opening up exciting possibilities for hybrid creators.
At first glance this could be mistaken for an updated RF 24-105mm Lens F/4 L IS USM, adding in a wider aperture from the RF 24-70mm F/2.8L IS USM, however it offers several additional video features such as:
For both photo and video we have Canon’s powerful integrated body and lens IS for up to 8-stops compensation, dual Nano USM focus motors for swift and silent AF, and an 11-bladed circular aperture to render exquisite bokeh and capture cinematic video.
Canon introduced two Power Zoom Adapters to control the RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L, with both the Canon PZ-E2 and PZ-E2B Power Zoom Adapter offering USB-C connectivity, however the PZ-E2B adds a 20-pin interface for large-scale productions.
With the introduction of hybrid Z lenses, Canon reaffirms its commitment to the growing community of photography and video professionals joining the EOS R system. The RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L is an ideal choice for creators who work with cameras such as the Canon EOS R5 C, and with its RF lens mount, it is compatible with the entire EOS R body lineup.
